‘Loosening the ends’ feels like a perfect mantra to chant at the end of a year. January is filled with hope, expectations and compulsion. As the year goes on and these pressures have worn us a bit thin it’s quite nice to think ‘f*%k it, I’m going to fray this rope at the end a little so as to not allow everything to be perfect’.
